South Dublin County Council has announced that planning approval has been granted under Section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 for the Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation Scheme – a €2 million investment.
The scheme, when fully developed, will not only provide fluvial flooding protection for up to 50 local residential and business properties in a 1-in-100-year flood event, but will enhance the riverside experience for pedestrians and create a high-quality, safe and functional environment, said the council.
As project timelines are developed, further notifications will be provided and information will be made available on www.whitechurchfas.ie
