'Meet the Engineers' at Old Cork Waterworks on Sunday, 3 March and experience a family fun STEPS Engineers Week open day from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. Admission is free. Children and adults can enjoy a series of stands and activities to help discover more about the many different types of engineering.
Activities will include programming VEX robots, LEGO construction challenges, snap circuits, engineering trails, make & do and lots more with all activities staffed by volunteers from Engineers Ireland Cork Branch. No booking required, just drop in.

There will be engineering shows, face painting and Lego workshops all suitable for primary school aged children.
Book a place on one of three Lego workshops for children. Your child can learn to build a Lego Pirate ship (9:30 to 10:30 - Register here), a Lego Race Car (12:00 to 13:00 - Register here) or a Lego Ferris Wheel (14:00-15:00 - Register here).

Scientific Sue’s wacky combination of science, engineering, drama and storytelling makes this educational programme at times funny, magical but always thought provoking.

Join the Engineers Week fun with a free show in Dundrum Shopping Centre on Saturday, 2 March. The ‘Engineering the World, Science, Bubbles and Rockets’ show will take place in Dundrum Shopping Centre at 13:00 and 15:00 in the Mall, second floor.
This is a free show. Drop by and join in the fun. Each show lasts 30-40 minutes and is aimed at 5 to 12-year-olds. The show is a great fun way to celebrate Engineering. During the show everyone can be and will be involved in fun experiments.
Drop in to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre for a free Silly Billy show for STEPS Engineers Week on Sunday, 3 March. The ‘Engineering the World, Science, Bubbles and Rockets’ show will take place in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at 12:00 and 14:00 outside the cinema.

This Engineering Workshop (ages 6 - 12) introduces engineering concepts and processes, types of engineering, and illustrates how engineering is an essential part of our lives. The hands-on activities develop mathematical thinking, problem solving skills, and spatial awareness, and help foster an interest in engineering.
The activities include a range of engineering challenges, from K’Nex constructions to building an earthquake proof house. Book here .
University of Galway is hosting a family fun day for STEPS Engineers Week on Saturday 2 March. The event is free to all.
