Xiria NGX builds on proven Xiria 630/20 kA technology that's served the market for 20 years. It uses clean, dry, air-GIS requiring no overpressure, all housed in a safe, sealed-for-life, stainless steel welded tank that fully retains its dielectric properties – also protecting against environmental influences and with IP65 ingress protection.
All live parts are single-pole insulated, providing excellent thermal characteristics and controlling electric fields around the components to minimise the risk of internal arcing. Featuring uniquely high ratings capabilities for air-only switch gear, NGX is the ideal 'fit and forget' choice.
NGX's natural air, SF6-free solution is just one aspect of an environmentally friendly product designed for 'circular' sustainability from design through to dismantling. Combined with vacuum interrupters and solid insulation, Xiria NGX technologies ensure minimal energy loss in operation.
Modular NGX is easy to upgrade with CTs, VTS and motorised operation, and one of few switchgear platforms currently offering motorised remote control for both the circuit breaker and disconnector.
