ESB chief executive Pat O’Doherty has announced the appointments of Geraldine Heavey as executive director, enterprise services, and Nicholas Tarrant as executive director, engineering and major projects. Both positions start with immediate effect. [caption id="attachment_43895" align="alignright" width="240"] ESB's Geraldine Heavey[/caption] Nicholas Tarrant joined ESB in 1993 where he held a number of senior management positions, including generation manager with responsibility for ESB’s 4,800MW portfolio. He recently held the position of managing director, Northern Ireland Electricity Networks. He is a chartered engineer at the Institute of Engineers of Ireland and holds an MSc (Management) from Trinity College, Dublin. Geraldine Heavey has also held a number of senior financial and general management positions across ESB Group including finance controller, Business Service Centre (BSC) and Electric Ireland; manager, ESB Trading and most recently group finance and commercial manager. She is an accountant and holds a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Dublin City University.
