Training aim
This live online or in-person problem-solving collaborative experience enables participants to apply key creativity & innovation concepts to real-world engineering problems & opportunities.
Learning objectives
To surface conversations amongst participants on what is innovation, why it’s important, who should innovate and how to innovate and to appreciate and practice some of the most widely used innovation concepts including empathy, problem framing, ideation, idea assessment, prototyping and testing ideas using key online collaboration tools including breakout rooms, shared screens, whiteboards, polls and chat.
Course outline
Participants will use the key themes of Design Thinking, Agile, Lean Startup and Business Model Innovation to frame a specific problem or opportunity on the given engineering or business of engineering domain or area of interest. They then quickly move on to solve the problem and prototype it. Themes are specific to a given audience and can be tailored as such.
