Training aim
To explain what information is required to select AHU's and how careful selection can actually reduce the size of the chiller and AHU required.
Learning objectives
To explain the basic anatomy of an Air Handling Unit. Give an overview of the various components. Learn how to balance and prioritise all of the choices related to performance, efficiency, maintainability and space contraints. Learm how energy can be saved in HVAC systems that use AHU's. To study a concrete example of a reduction in capacity required by the use of different heat recovery equipment. To identify and summarise the information that is required to select an AHU.
Course outline
To go through the process of selecting AHU's with consideration for the impact of component choices and how these can effect a multitude of things, such as efficiency, cost, life span, noise, chiller sizing, etc.
Trainer's profile
Mr Patrice Sola
Technical sales engineer at EICL, Patrice Sola is in charge to the AHU selections.
With more than 30 years working in the HVAC domain, from the projects management in a mechanical contractor company, to the position CEO in a Maintenance Company his experience from the selection until the operation of equipment allowed him to have a global vision of user needs and the best compromise in terms of cost, reliability and efficiency.
