Engineers Week has been created to introduce primary and secondary school children to the diverse world of engineering.
We do this by providing practical resources for teachers, such as hands-on activities, a classroom celebration pack and on-demand virtual engineering shows. We encourage engineering organisations to collaborate with their local schools; they can choose from a menu of activities to interact with the students.
Engineers Week 2025 will take place from Saturday, 1 - Friday, 7 March 2025.
Please subscribe to our mailing list to learn when we announce more Engineers Week 2025 information and supports.
In our experience, this combination of professional expertise and learning-by-doing inspires children to open their eyes to how engineering is part of everyday life.
Anyone who wishes to promote the importance of engineering to primary and secondary school children can take part. This includes engineers, organisations, colleges, libraries, families, teachers, stem professionals, science communicators, and local authorities.
Please contact Aisling O'Halloran, STEPS Engineers Week Executive, for more information and/or if you would like to get involved. For information on work experience, please see Engineering Your Future.
