Course Overview

Digital twins are virtual representations of physical assets, processes, or systems. By using digital twin, you can:

1. Visualise and Optimise 3D Structures

Using digital twin , you can create a 3D blueprint of your construction site or building, allowing you to visualise the final product before it's even built. This helps you identify and resolve issues early, reducing costly rework.

2. Streamline Panelised Systems

Digital twin can verify the placement of complex building panel assemblies, ensuring zero room for error and enabling you to optimise your production processes.

3. Enhance 3D Printing Training

Digital twin can be used to train technicians on the use of 3D construction printing technology, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in a safe, virtual environment before working on the actual project.

4. Expedite Prefabricated Modular Construction

Digital twin can be used to quickly assemble and verify prefabricated modular units, reducing time, cost, and waste on-site.

5. Optimise Processes and Ensure Quality

By creating digital twins of your production processes, you can identify and address inefficiencies, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the use of Digital Twin process with the digital capture and application
  • Basic understanding of what Digital Twin technology is.
