Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to drones, how to manipulate them correctly, be compliant, safe and professional. You will learn where to find quality support information and a variety of use cases focused on your specific needs.
Beginners will learn the basics while more advanced students will gain from a wealth of experience and improve their skills while producing better-quality data sets.
Many drone operators are unaware that they are operating outside of the legislative framework set out by The Irish Aviation Authority, the potential risks and what that means.

- Craft familiarisation & choosing a craft
- The basic rules and how to apply them
- Where to fly – understanding airspace

- Operating a drone / good airmanship – drones supplied by teacher

Trainer Profile
Ian Kiely is a professional UAV operator with many years’ of flying experience, developing and consulting. With a vast knowledge of the wider drone industry, Ian has delivered projects to private clients, government organisations and the European Space Agency.
Ian has vast teaching and lecturing experience and has also moderated international drone conferences, co-authored three best-selling Drone Professional books and many publications.
