Many registered title holders (Chartered Engineers, Associate Engineers and Engineering Technicians) of Engineers Ireland work in areas where they may be asked, in a professional capacity, to approve or review plans and drawings, letters, technical reports, and other relevant papers or documents.

The use of a Professional Stamp when signing off such work is seen as a way of demonstrating your professional standing. The Professional Stamp is intended to assist in recognising and promoting the profession of engineering and those engaged in the practice of engineering.

Who can use the stamp?

Only active members who hold a Professional Title can purchase the Professional Stamp. Chartered Engineers, Associate Engineers and Engineering Technicians are entitled and encouraged to use the stamp as appropriate to their practice.

What is on the stamp?

The stamp depicts the Engineers Ireland name and logo, the member's name, membership number and registered professional title. The stamp also leaves space for a signature and date. The stamp is self-inking and easy to use.

What are the conditions of use?

The stamp remains at all times the property of Engineers Ireland and the holder must agree to return the stamp if he/she ceases to be a member.
