The aim of the research was to assess the impact, if any, of cognitive biases on the cost management processes undertaken for road transport projects in Ireland. In his presentation he will outline the assessment of risk, complexity and uncertainty in construction cost forecasting and budget management and the processes developed by the NRA/TII to mitigate against these factors.
