Building on the success of the 2013 and 2015 2-day international conference, the 2017 BIM Gathering has grown to 23 exhibitors and 300 attendees.
The Gatherings, which are organised by the Construction IT Alliance (CitA), are great educational and networking events which bring industry, academia and government together to debate the impact of digital technologies in Irish construction.
The BIM Gathering acts as a focal point for all stakeholders who are grappling with the challenge of working with BIM technologies and collaborative work processes in Ireland.
Since the previous Gathering of 2015, the formation of the National BIM Council and the funding of the BIM Innovation Capability Programme (BICP), both championed by Enterprise Ireland, have been critically important initiatives in helping to formalise Ireland’s position in respect to the strategic use of BIM in the construction industry.
Over the past two years CitA has acted as the secretariat to the National BIM Council and focused on collating applicable data to influence the work of the council through the BICP.
The CitA BIM Gathering strives to connect industry professionals to innovation.
