The 2023 Siemens Innovative Student Engineer of the Year Award is now open for submissions.  

The Siemens sponsored award provides a platform for third-level students to showcase their engineering innovation excellence to a panel of professional engineers, industry leaders and entrepreneurs. 

Each year inspiring projects are submitted by student teams who aim to solve some of the world’s biggest problems. This was clear with last year’s winner; Tulipa from MTU Cork who developed a medical device to increase cervical cancer detection rates. Field of Vision and ByoWave also won the 2021 Award in their Student and Graduate category for their projects which tackled accessibility in gaming and sports respectively.  

We are now calling on students to submit projects developed during the academic year 2022/23 that showcase engineering innovation, sustainability, and commercial potential.
