'DIY SOS - The Big Build', an inspirational and feel-good format coming to RTÉ One, will see deserving families in Ireland facing hugely difficult personal circumstances get a significant home makeover to help improve their quality of life.
Irish TV viewers will be familiar with the hit show from the UK, where the DIY SOS team there have been helping families and communities for the past 17 years – transforming the lives of those who desperately need help.
Irish producers, Motive Television, are now looking for Engineers Ireland members who are willing to spare a few days of their time and share their skills to help a family in need.
Motive would love to sit down with companies who would be interested in getting involved – perhaps by backing one build or episode which will take an estimated nine days to complete.
Ideally, engineers would have a close working relationship with an architectural practice and who might be happy to partner up and volunteer some time for the design stage of one build.
There are four episodes being made, with builds currently planned from late summer/early autumn through to spring 2020.
If you are interested in finding out more or volunteering contact series producer Sharon Newman at sharon@motive.ie or call 01 5313306.
