Donegal based civil engineering company Source Civil Ltd has announced that it will grow its workforce to more than 270 in the next 12 months with the creation of 50 jobs. 

The announcement was made at the official opening of Source Civil’s new offices in Donegal town, which is part of a €10m investment by the company across a five-year period. 

The office space and warehousing facility at Lurganboy, just outside the town underpins the company’s international expansion, out of which it will service customers in Germany, Holland, France and the UK. The offices which are now operational and will facilitate the creation of 50 jobs. 

Trade promotion minister Dara Calleary welcomed the jobs announcement and officially opened the new 10,000-sq-ft Source Civil facility. “Source Civil Ltd delivers multidiscipline and highly specialised engineering contracts and their ingenuity, dedication and attention to detail are what fuel their operations," he said.

"It is this expertise and passion that has taken them to where they are today. Source Civil is constantly investing in its staff, in new technologies and in new equipment and that is why it is the civil engineering company of choice for so many at home and abroad.

Source Civil clients are from both the public and private sectors, and it has taken on the roles of main contractor, project supervisor design stage (PSDP) and project supervisor construction stage (PSCS) in the civil engineering and building industry. It also works as a specialist subcontractor on power projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and data centres across Europe and the UK.
