ProPhotonix (IRL) Ltd, a designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems, part of the Exaktera group, has announced that it has expanded its production capacity in Cork following an investment of €500,000.
In addition to almost doubling capacity at the Little Island facility, this latest investment has also delivered increased production flexibility enabling ProPhotonix to deliver its LED lights faster for its diverse customer base.
Machine vision, 3D printing, and disinfection
ProPhotonix Cork (originally CorkOpt) was founded more than two decades ago as a spin-off from the NMRC (now Tyndall National Institute). It designs and manufactures LED lights including custom LED solutions for applications including machine vision, 3D printing, and disinfection.
The company provides solutions across industrial, medical, and security markets. Among its customer base, ProPhotonix partners with six Fortune 20 customers.
