Engineers Ireland, the representative body for professional engineers, has welcomed the appointment of PJ Rudden to the Project Ireland 2040 Delivery Board.
PJ Rudden
Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Michael McGrath announced the appointment of Rudden as one of five external members to the Project Ireland 2040 Delivery Board, which was set up in 2018 to assist in the implementation of the National Development Plan and the National Planning Framework.
A former president of Engineers Ireland, PJ Rudden, who is the founder of Aengus Consulting and past director of RPS, also serves as the chair of the Innovation and Digital Adoption, Construction Sector Group (CSG).
The CSG was established, following the launch of Project Ireland 2040 and the National Development Plan to ensure regular and open dialogue between government and the construction sector and identify areas for action.
As a past president of Engineers Ireland and an active member of the institution, PJ Rudden is ideally placed to assist with Project Ireland 2040, bringing a practical and expert voice to the table and reflecting the views of the engineering profession across all sectors.
