Management of Invasive Species in Ireland – Identification, Prevention and Biosecurity will take place on Friday, April 11, in Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road in Dublin 4.

Training on invasive species management is a legal must for land management and construction Engineers (or other sectors). With that said Engineers Ireland is pleased to announce that a new offering of the Management of Invasive Species in Ireland - Identification, Prevention and Biosecurity – In Person (4200) is starting on Friday, April 11, 2025 in Clyde Road. 

The course will provide engineers with the capacity to identify most of the principal invasive alien plant species in Ireland, particularly those present in aquatic, riparian and terrestrial habitats.

It will also provide specific details regarding what control methods are most effective and how they should be applied. The importance of biosecurity in preventing the introduction and spread of invasive alien plant species will be highlighted.

The implications of Regulations SI 477/2011, EU 1143/2014 and the newly introduced SI 374/2024 will be discussed.
