Huawei is running its €250,000 Seeds for the Future scholarship programme again this year, it has been announced. There are 100 places available and the top-performing 50 students will receive a €5,000 cash scholarship.
The online programme runs from October 24 to October 31, 2022. It is open to first-year students, too, if they provide their Leaving Cert results.
The company has admitted 173 Seeds students since 2015. Last year was the first year that it introduced the scholarship scheme, and it hopes to continue the momentum this year and in future years too, it said.
What is being looked for:
- Full-time students in Irish higher education institutions;
- Students with a strong academic record and a keen interest in technology;
- Those who are interested in cross-cultural exchange;
- Future leaders.

Send your application to seedsireland@huawei.com by October 12, 2022. This should include your CV; a transcript of your most recent academic results; a motivation letter (400-600 words) or a short video (no more than two minutes) that reflects your objective to participate; an interest in ICT and an enthusiasm for learning.
