Crowley Carbon has announced the creation of 187 jobs over the next three years after Taoiseach Leo Varadkar opened the company’s newly expanded headquarters in Powerscourt House, Wicklow.
The expansion in Powerscourt, along with an expansion of Crowley Carbon’s newly acquired centre in Kilkenny, will see the creation of 187 positions in engineering, project management and software in Ireland. The expansion received key support from the government through Enterprise Ireland.
One of world’s fastest growing energy services companies
Founded in 2009, Crowley Carbon is one of the world’s fastest growing energy services companies, which reduces energy consumption for large industrial and commercial clients using cutting edge energy efficiency solutions, while also providing renewable energy technologies such as solar and biomass.
Crowley Carbon’s headquarters houses its Carbon Control Centre. This centre uses Crowley Carbon’s energy intelligence software, C Cubed, to monitor and manage the energy usage of more than 400 factories and large buildings around the world. The business delivers energy services to global companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Bunge and GE.
The Taoiseach said: “This is excellent news for the Wicklow region, with the creation of 187 high quality jobs. Crowley Carbon is at the cutting edge of the energy efficiency sector, and I am delighted to see the company expanding its operations here.
"These new jobs, which are supported by the government through Enterprise Ireland, are a testament to the company's success in recent years, when it has experienced very impressive growth, providing their innovative services to some of the world's biggest firms.

Unprecedented growth over last two years
"They have delivered unprecedented growth over the past two years, tripling the company’s size in 2017 and are on target to also triple in size in 2018. Over the past 12 months they have expanded their Dubai and Dublin offices and opened in Sydney, Sophia, Sao Paulo and North Carolina.”
