Asper Investment Management and the Craydel Group have achieved financial close on a 43 MW wind project in Co Mayo, which is to be operated by Invis Energy. Asper said it is providing equity financing for the scheme and raised a €75 million senior debt facility from NordLB. Advisers in the transaction were A&L Goodbody and Ionic Consulting. The 43 MW wind project was developed and will be operated by Invis Energy, a joint venture between Asper and the Craydel Group. The plant will include 18 turbines by Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1), each with a capacity of 2.4 MW, expected to generate about 168 GWh of electricity annually. The output will help offset about 100,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year. Since the start of 2018, the Invis Energy partners have raised more than €130 million of project debt. Most recently, they secured funds for a 35 MW onshore wind farm in Co Galway, which will also be operated by Invis Energy.
