This includes the Grant Aerona³ R32 air to water air source heat pump which is being installed as the main heat source within many new build properties across Ireland.

The Grant Aerona³ has quickly become a popular choice among those working in the trade due to its cleaner, more environmentally friendly performance, and its ability to lower a property’s overall carbon footprint, which will ultimately help to achieve NZEB building standards.   

This highly efficient heat pump has an ErP rating of A+++ and is available in outputs of 6kW, 10kW, 13kW and 17kW. The 13kW and 17kW models have also been recognised for their quiet operation by the internationally acclaimed Quiet Mark.

All four models boast superior seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) and depending on climate conditions and demand on the heating system at the time, can deliver 4kW of heat energy for every 1kW of electricity used.  

The Aerona³ R32 heat pump has been designed by Grant to ensure it works seamlessly and can be easily installed with supporting technologies, like Grant heat emitters like the Grant Uflex Underfloor heating system and/or the Grant Afinia radiators.

Underfloor heating is continuing to edge forward as the heat emitter of choice for new builds. This is due to its versatility and ability to work well with a heat pump, as both technologies can run at lower temperatures, using less energy, therefore providing significant carbon and financial savings for the property owner.  

Can be fitted as part of the floor construction process

Another important element of the Grant Uflex system for engineers and installers to consider is that the Uflex system can be fitted as part of the floor construction process, therefore causing no delays in construction. It is ideally suited for new builds whereby the pipework is installed during the initial stages of the property's development. 

The Uflex pipework is then positioned and clipped into place once the flooring's insulation and membrane has been fitted, after which a flow screed is laid over the top and allowed to fully dry before heat is introduced. 

Grant's Uflex system makes underfloor heating a viable option for a wide range of projects, from one-off new build projects and room extensions through to larger multiproperty developments.  

Installers and engineers can have a bespoke heating system designed and specified for each room based on flow rates and heat loss calculations, by availing of Grant’s free heating design service.

This service helps saves considerable time and provides assurance from knowing that the system is compliant in terms of Part L of the building regulations in the Republic of Ireland.
