Enterprise Ireland client company Hanley Energy, a global innovator in Critical Power and Energy Management solutions, has announced plans to create 150 global roles, as it opens its new $12m US headquarters in 'Data Centre Alley' Ashburn, Virginia.
In 2024, Hanley Energy will create 100 jobs in the USA and 50 in Ireland, as the company continues to expand its global operations, delivering critical power and energy management innovation to global data centre operators, including Amazon Web Services and other global players.
The new 40,000 sq ft facility is the latest addition to Hanley Energy’s global network. The company employs 800 people across six countries, including Ireland, USA, Australia, Germany, Sweden and South Africa and exports to 32 global markets.
The announcement was made today in Washington D.C. as part of Enterprise Ireland St. Patrick’s Day programme of business events, led by taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Enterprise Ireland CEO, Leo Clancy, marking the accelerated investment levels by Irish companies in the US.
Helping large industries to reduce emissions
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said: “This is a significant announcement by Hanley Energy of another 50 jobs in Ireland and 100 in the USA. The company’s work helping large industries to reduce emissions has never been more timely.
"It builds on the team’s previous announcement of 225 new jobs in Monaghan and Dundalk. Climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity today. I believe Irish businesses, and enterprise in general have a pivotal role to play in turning the tide on climate change and biodiversity loss so we can leave the planet to the next generation in a better condition than we inherited. Congratulations to the team on this really fantastic achievement.”
