As standards of energy efficiency within new builds continue to tighten, self-builders and property developers across Ireland are choosing sustainable heating technologies like the Grant Aerona3 R32 air source heat pump to help achieve nearly zero-energy building (NZEB) standards.

Available in outputs of 6kW, 10kW, 13kW and 17kW the Grant Aerona3 R32 inverter driven air source heat pump range has become a popular choice due to its cleaner, more environmentally friendly performance, and  its ability to lower a property’s overall carbon footprint while helping to achieve NZEB standards required by all new buildings in the Republic of Ireland by the end of 2020.

Market-leading heating solutions

Reinforcing Grant’s commitment to providing market-leading heating solutions, units within the range have achieved an A+++ energy rating at low temperatures such as 35°C or 45°C.

All four models also boast superior seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) and depending on climate conditions and demand on the heating system at the time, can deliver 4kW of heat energy for every 1kW of electricity used.

Even if external temperatures were to drop as low as -20°, the heat pumps output will modulate up or down depending on the exact climate conditions to ensure ultimate energy efficiency for the property. The 13kW and 17kW models within the range have also been recognised by international award programme Quiet Mark for their low noise qualities.

The Aerona3 R32 heat pump range is the ideal option for the main heat source for properties of varying sizes and a top choice for deep retrofit projects. It’s ability to work in tandem with other correctly sized heating technologies featured within Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions offering can also take efficiencies to another level.

In particular the Aerona3 R32 heat pump works well when combined with Grant’s Uflex underfloor heating system as both technologies can run at lower temperatures, therefore  providing significant carbon and financial savings for the property owner.

The technical specialists at Grant can design the full heating solution for a property, free of charge, on receipt of house plans. This includes a full 360-degree heating assessment of the property with room by room heat loss calculations in line with SR:50 guidelines, to ensure the unique needs of each property are addressed in line with construction and layout, while maximising efficiencies throughout.
