Having restarted onsite training at its headquarters in Birr, Co Offaly, earlier in the summer, Grant has not only announced new dates for its popular heat pump and oil boiler courses, but the manufacturer has also announced the addition of a brand new course to its growing portfolio.
New Oil Burner course
Suitable for heating and service engineers and technicians throughout the country, Grant’s new Oil Burner course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills required to understand the operating sequence of an oil-fired burner and how to diagnose any potential faults before they arise.
The Oil Burner course is the first course within the Grant Training Academy portfolio that will require a small payment of €50 per person to secure a space.
However, those who sign up can feel assured that it will be money well spent as the course will cover all areas associated with domestic oil burners including how they operate, the basics of combustion, how to use test equipment, how to test for faulty components, flue gas analysis, burner commissioning and more.
The Grant training courses have been developed by the specialist training team to further educate engineers throughout Ireland on the manufacturer’s range of innovative heating technologies.
Those interested in Grant’s new Oil Burner course can view upcoming dates now on the Grant website. In addition, new October, November and December 2021 dates have also been announced for Grant’s popular onsite Aerona3 R32 air to water air source heat pump training course, these can also be found on Grant’s website.
Grant’s onsite training courses take place at the company’s state-of-the-art training facilities which opened at the start of last year. The high-quality facilities include a dedicated training academy featuring an auditorium and training suite.
Plumbing and heating industry
The training courses run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.30pm and are available to those working within the plumbing and heating industry including installers, engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors.
Grant also continues to offer online training via the Grant eLearning Academy. Similarly, to on-site training, Grant’s online learning platform can be accessed by installers, engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors. The Grant eLearning Academy features a range of training courses, including a Grant Aerona3 R32 air to water, air source heat pump that has been approved for CPD by The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).
The e-learning courses are categorised into on-demand and instructor led courses and vary in both form and content, allowing engineers to structure their training to suit their requirements.
