Training aim

To provide those who will be appointed as PSDP or wish to take on the role of PSDP, with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the role and statutory requirements in respect of the role.

Learning objectives

Know the roles and responsibilities of all involved in construction projects
Understand the role of PSDP
Know the requirements with respect to the preparation of a safety plan
Know the requirements with respect to the preparation of a safety file
Understand the involvement of the PSDP throughout the project life cycle

Attendance at the 1 day LCE Design Risk Assessment course is a prerequisite for attending this PSDP course.

Trainer's profile

Ita Leyden - B.E., M.Sc., Dip.Em, C.Eng M.IEI, C.MIOSH Managing Director.

Ita is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Safety Professional with over 25 years of experience in safety, engineering and ergonomics. Working in all areas of business, Ita has worked in construction and design as a client, designer, PSDP and PSCS over the past 20 years.

Ita is also a part-time lecturer of Ergonomics at the University College of Dublin.
