Steico I joists
We are pleased to advise of the availability of the Steico I joist in Ireland. The joist is a real alternative to the metal web joist, is cheaper and offers more flexibility on site due to its light weight and the ability to cut to desired length.
The product is fully certified to CE standards, Eurocode 5 and has Forest Stewardship Council and
British Board of Agrément certification. Depending on the centres, the joists can span up to 8m. All services can be run through the joist without interfering with the structural strength.
We offer a free design service: all you need to do is send us your drawings in CAD format and we will send you a drawing that is priced with all metal work and noggins required per house. The delivery to site will be by house lot and contain all the parts (labelled) for ease of fixing. We also allow an oversize on the joists, which can be trimmed to precise length on site.

Durelisdek
This is a P5 particle board with an extra resin/wax content that is available in 18mm and 22mm T+G4 sides. When installed with the Steico I joists, it gives a squeak-free floor system.
The product has a peel clean surface, which allows it to be used as a working platform during construction and has a manufacturer’s guarantee of 42 days’ exposure to the elements.
The board is installed using a D4 adhesive or a D3 adhesive with tape. The T+G section of the board must be covered with the D4 or the tape system when being installed. When all the wet trades are finished, you simply peel off the protective film, giving a clean floor ready for hand over or floor covering.
We recommend the use of 22mm with 600mm centres to avoid the bounce effect and 18mm with 400mm centres.
