Viriform is the new name for Tegral Metal Forming. Built on decades of experience, Tegral Metal Forming served the Irish construction market with distinction.
Reliability and technical expertise were two of the traits often associated with Tegral Metal Forming and this has not been lost in the rebrand. The name change is the only difference – its wealth of experience, service and technical capabilities have been retained, while the name Viriform signals its intent: ‘Viri’ means strong in Latin, while ‘form’ is what it does – form metal.
Viriform is a great Irish success story. It is one of the founding members of Guaranteed Irish and to this day remains a member that is proud of its heritage and supporting Irish jobs, all the while collaborating with global construction and engineering firms here in Ireland.
Founded in 1976, Viriform has developed great experience and technical competence over the years which has led to the establishment of an expansive product range.
A range of detailing options
Composite flooring, or ‘ComFlor’ as it is known, is one of the main products in its range. The profile works in conjunction with concrete to create a composite action between the floor and the steel frame construction.
Not only is Viriform the sole manufacturer in Ireland of ComFlor, it is also the only manufacturer to offer crushed ends, leaving the choice with the engineer for how they would like to firestop the end of the profiles.

‘RoofDek’ is Viriform’s structural roof decking range. Comprising of several different profiles it is mainly used in flat roof construction. Many profiles are rolled in Ireland with what is not being supplied by Viriform’s strategic partners, Tata Steel, from their plant in Wales.
Purlins are key in almost every building project and Viriform has been manufacturing them for more than 30 years. Two years ago, it pivoted to the use of a sigma-shaped profile and the change has been met with universal approval from the market. As with the rest of its product range, its purlins come with FM approval and CE certification.

While the traditional building methods environment has been where Viriform honed its expertise, product development and quality standards, modular and off-site construction are coming more and more into play.
For several years now, Viriform products have been specified by some of the country’s leading engineers for use in some of the most innovative projects this island has seen in recent years.
Future focused
It goes without saying that sustainability is at the forefront of Viriform’s operation. The fact that its manufacturing facility is still based in Athy, Co Kildare, means its carbon footprint is minimised for Irish customers. Its product range is built to last. However, when the time comes for redevelopment, its products are fully recyclable and come with cradle to grave certification.
While Viriform may be a new name, its earned experience and strengths will remain the same. Viriform is committed to maintaining its reputation for technical competence, service and quality. These traits will act as a springboard to further its strong metal forming pedigree and provide engineers with trusted and viable solutions which they can detail in their plans.
