Pipelife Ireland was delighted and honoured to win the 'Manufacturer of the Year Award', as well as the company's managing director Ger Healy winning the 'Overall Achievement Award' for his contribution to the plumbing and heating industry at the recently virtually held Plumbing & Heating Awards.

Pipelife Ireland Ltd claimed the title of Manufacturer of the Year impressing judges as the company which made the most impressive success within the last two years.

As heating solutions become more complex, the firm continues to invest in new expertise and technology to help it stay ahead of the game. With the recent acquisition of Cork Plastics in Little Island, Cork, this has resulted in Pipelife Ireland now becoming Ireland’s No1 manufacturer of a full-range system provider and enhances its portfolio of building and piping solutions.

Judges were enthused by the company’s application which included supporting evidence entailing its 2021 Trade Brochure, Eco-Home Heating Solutions and Engineers Brochure.

This Overall Achievement Award recognises an individual or company that has enhanced the plumbing and heating sector through their dedication and tireless hard work within the industry.

'Very honoured'

Commenting on the prestigious accolade at the virtual awards ceremony, Healy said that on a personal level he was very honoured to have received the award and that it reflected a team effort. “All of the team members both here in Ireland, and in the UK, have contributed to the success which the company is enjoying at the moment.”

Speaking about the economic crash in 2008, he reflected on how companies, including Pipelife, had to adapt to new processes, systems and products, and that it had thankfully benefited them. With regards to environmental concerns, Pipelife has had to put in place a higher emphasis on these issues over recent years.

Healy continued: “We are a company that puts in place heating systems throughout residential and commercial units, and these have historically been a cause of greenhouse gases. All of the products which we now manufacture is environmentally conscious, and we are making further changes going forward.” A remarkable success and a superb Overall Winner!
