Takumi Precision Engineering has grown from a small workshop in Limerick to a leading global engineering solutions provider, specialising in bespoke medical, aerospace, and industrial component assembly and manufacturing.

Takumi’s journey with O’Neill Industrial began in 1998 with the purchase of a 7.5 kW piston-type Air Compressor for its first facility on Ballysimon Road. As the company expanded into a 9,000 sq/ft facility in Raheen in 2002, its compressed air requirements grew in tandem with production capacity.
By 2007, to support further expansion, Takumi installed an Ingersoll Rand Rse 30n Air Compressor with air treatment equipment, ensuring a steady and high-quality air supply for precision manufacturing. Five years later, in 2012, a second Ingersoll Rand Rse 30n unit was added as demand continued to rise.
Scaling up with reliability
A significant milestone came in 2018 when Takumi expanded again, requiring an even more robust compressed air solution. O’Neill Industrial supplied and installed an Ingersoll Rand Rse 75n Air Compressor, complemented by a full air treatment system and a high-performance Prevost pipe and fittings network. This system provided the capacity and reliability needed to sustain Takumi’s high-precision manufacturing operations.
A testament to O’Neill Industrial’s superior maintenance and the durability of Ingersoll Rand’s equipment, Takumi’s original 2007 and 2012 Rse 30n compressors remain fully operational today.
The 2007 unit has logged over 82,639 hours, while the 2012 machine has surpassed 55,500 hours—both still running on their original Air End & Motor. These backup systems continue to provide crucial redundancy, ensuring uninterrupted production.
