maxon is offering free technical training on its ESCON and EPOS controllers for DC brushed and brushless DC (BLDC) motors. The manufacturer of miniature motors is holding a series of one-day, hands-on training courses over various dates in November and December at its UK headquarters in Berkshire.
The training focuses on maxon’s EPOS and ESCON controllers for speed, position, and current control of DC brushed and BLDC motors. The practical training sessions will instruct users across aspects ranging from set up through to advanced modes and control.
Instruction on installation and commissioning
The course will provide instruction on installation and commissioning, including cabling as well as running the ESCON and EPOS Studio software wizards. The course will also explain full controller functionality, including I/O integration as well as special operation and tools.
The one-day course will teach practical techniques based around ESCON and EPOS demonstration units, using a laptop running ESCON and EPOS Studio software.
Each course will comprise small groups of training delegates with a maximum of five people in order to optimise instructor-to-student time. Training will be provided by maxon’s ESCON and EPOS experts, Ronak Samani and Amir Janjua.
“The course has a practical emphasis and the learning outcome for training delegates will mean increased knowledge of brushed DC and BLDC motor control,” says William Mason, managing director maxon UK & Ireland.
“Reserving each course date for small numbers of training delegates will optimise the support available, with questions and answers that will ensure learning for real-world applications.”
