Jacobs is currently expanding its business within growing markets in Ireland. It has exciting projects ongoing within the water and wastewater, highways, transport planning, sustainable solutions, energy, and rail sectors. Its key clients include Irish Water, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, National Transport Authority, Eirgrid, OPW and local authorities around the country, as well as utilities such as Scottish Water and United Utilities in the UK.
Jacobs' Energy, Waste and Water team is currently working on various water supply, flood risk assessment and management, drainage and wastewater treatment projects around Ireland and the UK. Projects include new infrastructure development, such as the Water Supply Project for the Eastern and Midlands Region and the Greater Dublin Drainage project, as well as upgrading existing water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
Its Highways and Transport Planning team work closely with national and local Authorities and contractors to provide feasibility studies, scheme reports, scheme orders and detailed highway and transportation designs for major projects throughout Ireland and the UK. Projects include N17N18 PPP Scheme (http://www.directroutegorttotuam.ie/project-information.aspx), design support for Ringway Jacobs and transportation modelling for TII and NTA.
The Sustainable Solutions team work with both private and public authorities offering a range of environmental services for projects across Ireland including strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment, GIS mapping, licensing and permitting support and ecological surveying. The team are currently providing environmental consultancy services on the Water Supply Project for the Eastern and Midlands Region, the Greater Dublin Drainage project and the Kerdiffstown Landfill Remediation Project in County Kildare.
