Atkins Ireland has won the award for Engineering Practice of the Year 2016 at the Irish Building and Design Awards ceremony, which took place on Friday 22 April in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin. More than 500 people from the world of engineering, architecture, construction and design attended the ceremony to recognise and acknowledge the best in Ireland's building and design projects over the last 12 months. Tom O’Malley, managing director Atkins, said: “Our success in this competition, for the third year running, is a fantastic achievement and is a recognition of the great people that we have who continue to deliver excellent work for our client base.” The Atkins Ireland success story has continued as the market in Ireland continues to grow. Martina Finn, technical director with Atkins, said that the company’s range of projects in Ireland showcases its diverse and multidisciplinary engineering capability. “We have a desire to challenge the norm, working effectively with our clients from our offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast,” she added.
