Leading heating technology manufacturer Grant has announced that a new onsite and online combi boiler training course for those in the heating industry will be added to its learning portfolio in the coming weeks. The expansion of Grant’s training offering reinforces the company’s commitment to providing access to continuous learning both on-site and online.
Commenting on Grant’s commitment to training the industry, trainer Keith Scully said: “Our research and development team are dedicated to designing and manufacturing highly efficient and forward-thinking heating technologies for our customers.
"In terms of training, we are also dedicated to providing a range of courses to help our customers learn about these technologies and best practice techniques for installation, and have plans to launch more new courses throughout the year.”
There are many ways for heating engineers and others within the trade to learn and improve their knowledge with Grant.
Onsite training academy and dedicated trainers
Grant’s training facilities are located at the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Birr, Co Offaly, and include a dedicated training academy featuring an auditorium and training suite.
The onsite training courses are available on a range of Grant’s heating technologies, with the most popular course being the CPD, Engineers Ireland approved ‘heat pump technology and appropriate heat emitter sizing’ focusing mainly on the Grant Aerona3 R32 heat pump range. Courses run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
All Grant training courses are led by an extremely competent team of trainers, who are specialists in knowledge of Grant’s products and services. All courses are available to those working within the heating industry including engineers, installers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors.
Grant eLearning aAcademy
For those who are unable to attend training sessions at Grant’s headquarters, digital versions of many of the in-person courses can be accessed at any time via the Grant eLearning Academy.
The manufacturer launched the Grant eLearning Academy during the pandemic to ensure heating engineers could and still can develop their industry and product knowledge from the comfort of their own homes. This varied approach continues to be popular amongst those in the industry and ensures continued professional development is accessible for all.
Toolbox Talk YouTube series
Online learning with Grant doesn’t stop at the Grant eLearning Academy. The Grant Engineering YouTube channel is home to more educational videos developed by the Grant technical team for the plumber and installer.
Grant’s Toolbox Talk YouTube series consists of twelve detailed videos that focus on the range of Grant flue systems. Each video provides advice for plumbers and installers on what to consider when installing each unique flue systems with a Grant Vortex or Euroflame condensing boilers.
Grant downloadable guides
Heating engineers can also access Grant’s ‘Downloads Centre’ via the ‘Professional’ section on the manufacturer’s website. On this page there is free access to a wide range of Grant product and service brochures, manuals and information sheets, especially formulated for those who are installing Grant heating technologies.
The Grant Downloads Centre is updated regularly by the Grant’s technical team, with the newest update being the launch of a new Flute Guide. Brochures and manuals are available for all Grant products, accessories and spare parts.
