It is not too late to sign up for the upcoming CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting tuition course, C04 (Fundamentals of business economics). Tuition commences on Wednesday, September 30 in AccountancySchool.ie. A fundamental grounding in business and finance is essential for all engineering professionals operating in today’s challenging business environment. The CIMA certificate is ideal for those new to the world of finance, providing an understanding of the uses of accounting information in planning, controlling and decision making. The qualification is made up of five exams:

  • (C01) fundamentals of management accounting;
  • (C02) fundamentals of financial accounting;
  • (C03) fundamentals of business mathematics;
  • (C04) fundamentals of business economics;
  • (C05) fundamentals of ethics, corporate governance and business law.
Engineers Ireland members are exempt from C03 Fundamentals of Business Mathematics. The four remaining exams can be taken at your own pace as there is no deadline for exams to be completed and exams are available on demand all year round, in order to achieve the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. The tuition classes for this subject, C04, will take place on the following dates:
  • Wednesday, September 30
  • Saturday, October 10
  • Sunday, October 11
  • Thursday, October 15
