With major investment programmes in the maintenance, renewal and upgrading of our infrastructure, this is an exciting opportunity for Civil Engineers looking to progress a career in the railway industry across a number of disciplines and areas and to help in the safe and efficient provision of railway services across the country.

Successful candidates will become part of the CCE team that will help in the delivery of key objectives for the department.  These include ongoing consistent delivery of maintenance activities across the network, design, specification and renewals of infrastructure assets, undertaking and leading in major renewal and upgrade projects for our wide range of infrastructural assets to include the €250 million Cork Line Rehabilitation Project and providing engineering support across the major capital investment programme that will be carried out over the next number of years.

All candidates for the role should:

  • Be fully qualified to degree level (Level 8) in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Have 1 – 5 years’ experience working in an engineering role
  • A full driving licence

Candidates should also have:

  • Strong technical engineering ability
  • High level of IT proficiency
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
  • High level planning, scheduling and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in or knowledge of railway infrastructure would be an advantage
  • Project Management experience would also be advantageous

Positions are available in a number of regional offices in Dublin as well as in the West and South of the Country. The salary that will apply will be commensurate with experience.
