Details

The Forest industry in Ireland is expanding and Veon is ready to meet the new challenges and opportunities in the sector.  Timber from private sector forests planted in the last three decades is now coming to market; long term investors are increasingly active with acquisitions of high quality forestry assets and farmers are also looking to diversify from their core farming enterprises to secure their income in the challenging environment of climate change. Forestry owners expect more from their service providers.

Veon is Ireland’s leading forest management company with over 30 years’ experience in forestry.  Our success is built on our ability to adapt in this rapidly changing landscape while the stability of our business is due to our close long-term relationships with our clients.

We are diversifying and expanding our services to meet the growing needs of our clients.  We are looking for people who are highly motivated and aligned to our business goals to come with us and make an impact.

The role

As part of our expansion we are looking to recruit a new Regional Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all operations and sales in the North East region covering the counties of Monaghan, Cavan, Louth, Longford, Westmeath, Meath, Dublin, North Kildare and North Laois.  The region is a key growth area for our business where we are managing a wide variety of forestry assets.

Who is this role suited to?

The successful candidate will be an effective leader with very strong planning and communication skills and interested in making a real impact. While the role focuses on forest management, modern forestry requires skillsets such as ecology, farming and engineering. The role would therefore suit suitably qualified candidates from these professions. This exciting role would ideally suit a Level 8 graduate with a minimum 3 years’ experience in these areas with a full clean driving licence.

As our business expands into new areas, opportunities will arise for team members to expand their horizons, gaining experience in related areas to our core forestry business.

What you can expect

Veon is an exciting and growing company with plenty of opportunities to develop your career.  You will receive our full support, training and opportunities for professional development along with a very competitive salary, company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and vouched expenses.   We provide a company PRSA Pension scheme and also cover professional membership fees.   This is a full-time permanent position.
