About the event

Kindly sponsored by Ervia and Turner & Townsend, this breakfast briefing is a joint presentation by both organisations.

Ervia Major Projects are currently delivering one of the largest civil infrastructure portfolios in Ireland, managing over €2bn of works for Irish Water and Gas Networks Ireland.

The briefing from Ervia Major Projects will explain the importance of Project Risk Management and Ervia Major Projects' approach to Risk Management.

Ervia is the commercial semi-state multi-utility company responsible for the delivery of Ireland’s national gas and water infrastructure and services. Through its regulated business, Gas Networks Ireland, they build and operate one of the most modern and safe gas networks in the world. They are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Ireland’s water and wastewater assets through their other regulated business Irish Water. They also provide dark fibre broadband infrastructure through their business Aurora Telecom.

Turner & Townsend are currently involved in Transformational programmes in real estate and infrastructure across Ireland.  Their experience covers a full spectrum of industries, including some of the largest and most complex programmes in Ireland’s real estate and infrastructure sectors. These include development of the Grangegorman Campus in Dublin, the multi-billion euro expansion programme for Dublin Metrolink and assisting Irish Water with its capital investment programme across Ireland. In Northern Ireland they are helping Northern Ireland Water deliver its development programme and assisting Queens University with various campus projects. They understand that in every sector the market is constantly shifting, and work to stay ahead by building and sharing insight across sectors and regions, helping to pioneer and define best practice. With the best people, the right knowledge and the global reach, they continue to maximise opportunities and minimise risk for their clients.

The briefing from Turner & Townsend will provide an insight to the use of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) techniques to assist Project Management.
