About the event

Precious planet: promises to be a very interesting and thought-provoking session, which will consist of a range of interactive talks focused on the major challenges that our planet faces. In particular they will cover climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, plastic waste pollution and renewable energy and transport systems that will power the smart cities of the future.

The talks will focus on the role and responsibility that governments have as policy makers and we the general public have to dramatically reduce our greenhouse gas emissions as well as eliminating plastic waste which is polluting our precious oceans at an alarming rate. The session will examine what new narratives are needed to increase public support for action on the climate issue. The effects of global warming on animals and biodiversity will also be discussed.
