About the event

The presentation will focus on urban logistics and covert how we balance safer streets and air quality with congestion and urban deliveries. It will look at how government policy, technology and planning can improve deliveries in city centres of the future.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) regularly works with Government and councils on these initiatives and planning including Transport for London, The Department for Transport, Department for Infrastructure and Belfast City Council.

About the speaker

Seamus Leheny is the Policy Manager for the Freight Transport Association in Northern Ireland representing the interests of members involved in Logistics, supply chains and transport.

Seamus’s work involves regular engagement with local and national government on a wide range of policy matters ranging from Brexit, sustainable transport and infrastructure.

The FTA is the voice of the Logistics Industry in the UK and Ireland with over 18,000 members.  Prior to working for the FTA, Seamus worked in the European and Deep Sea shipping industry for two large shipping companies based in Belfast Port giving valuable experience in supply chains, administrative and customs protocols for various trade flows.
