About the event

Following notable fixings failures at Boston ‘Big Dig’ Tunnel, Massachusetts, Sasago Tunnel in Japan and Balcombe Railway Tunnel, it became evident there are some gaps in practice, knowledge and guidance, particularly in terms of the onward management of fixings. This talk presents an overview of CIRIA C778 which provides best practice guidance on the management of safety critical fixings.
