This free to attend event offers presentations from and interactive panels with thought-leaders in manufacturing and technology research.

Aims and Learning Objectives

As an engineering professional, find out more about Industry 4.0, the manufacturing revolution that is affecting all those involved in manufacturing, from SMEs to MNCs.

Learn about the implications of smart manufacturing for your industry, and the latest research being conducted in areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber physical systems, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and sensorisation.

Join the discussion on the issue of trust in smart manufacturing. How will safety, security, privacy, and reliability be assured in the new age of digital manufacturing?

Designed for engineering professionals

The content is focused on smart manufacturing, an industry that brings together materials science with mechanical engineering and computer science. The audience will be a mix of technicians, executives, decision makers and engineering professionals. Many of the expert speakers and panel members are engineers or working for engineering companies, e.g. John Breslin, Senior Lecturer in Electronic Engineering, NUI Galway; Tríona Kennedy from Stryker; Jeff McCann, Global Lab Director, Dell EMC; Joan Mulvihill, Digitalisation Lead, Siemens.

Developed and delivered by a suitably qualified and experienced professional

The Industrial Internet Consortium was founded in March 2014 to bring together the organisations and technologies necessary to accelerate the growth of the Industrial Internet by identifying, assembling and promoting best practices. Membership includes small and large technology innovators, vertical market leaders, researchers, universities and government organisations.
