Course Overview

This short 1-day course is a brief look into the elements required in TTM Design to provide the candidate with an awareness of what is required to become a designer.

Course Aim

Legislation states that the person carrying out TTM Design must be competent, therefore; have the required knowledge, skills and experience. The full TTM Design & Planning course run by the LASNTG is quite intense covering 4 days in the classroom and including a project that the Learner will be required to spend approximately 20 hours of their own time to complete. This course is a summary of the full course and will provide the candidate with awareness of current legislation and Best Practice.

This training course will give an insight as to what is required of a TTM Designer.

Who Should Attend?

EHS professionals, engineers and senior management looking to enhance their knowledge of temporary traffic management design and its implementation. Ideally, candidates should have prior knowledge of industry legislation and have a SLG CSCS Card, although this is not essential.

Trainer’s Profile

Barry Bessant

Barry Bessant is a Director with CHM Consultancy & Training Ltd and has over 15 years Traffic Management experience. Qualifications have included PSDP/PSCS, IOSH Manging Safety in Construction, LANTRA Traffic Safety & Control Officer and Instructor for the LASNTG. He was involved in the production of the new Operations Manual for Chapter 8 and has worked as a consultant and trainer for TII, Local Authorities and some of Ireland’s largest construction companies.

Confirmation is subject to event fee being finalised. Cancellation fees calculated at 50% of the estimated total bill will be charge for confirmed bookings cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the date of the planned event. A replacement person can attend instead. Cancellations made the day prior to an event will be charged 75% of the total estimated bill. No-shows will be charged the full fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. Engineers Ireland will not be liable for any costs in the event of a course being re-scheduled. This applies, but is not limited, to any travelling, subsistence or consequential expenses incurred by delegates.
