Training aim

The aim of this course is to allow engineers to gain a level of knowledge of EVSE's in line with more mature technologies, thus ensuring their clients receive the highest quality project outputs.

Learning objectives

This course has been developed to ensure that participants are up to date with EV technology, as required on client sites. The course will break the myths and misconceptions common to the industry and ensure that engineers have the appropriate tools to specify comprehensive and sustainable solutions, avoiding the risk of stranded assets, vendor lock-in or high running costs.

Course outline

This course presents the state of the art of EV technology. It describes the essential elements of a sustainable installation of charging equipment, enabling maximum benefits to the host and user alike. It will help guide the designing engineer away from potential traps and headaches. Finally the trainer will use his industry knowledge to take a look at where the future is likely to take us during the evolution of Electric Vehicles.

Trainer's profile

Having qualified in Electronic Engineering,  Mark later entered the Energy sector in 1998. He joined ESB in 2001, taking on responsibility for all Electrical/C&I activities for a 400MW CCGT. In 2011 he was seconded to work on the Electric Vehicle project. Mark was active across Europe on technical, commercial and policy topics. Mark has since founded Eninserv Limited offering consultancy services in Energy & Emobility. He is one of the most knowledgeable participants in the world of emobility.
