About the event

Tim Chapman will deliver an evening lecture on the topic of “The future of AI in infrastructure and its long term effects”. Tim has had extensive experience in the design of big infrastructure and devising how future infrastructure can best serve and shape future society. He is particularly interested in how new technology will shape and change the careers available in our professions over the next 20 years.

About the speaker

Tim Chapman, Chartered Engineer
Tim is Director in charge of Arup’s Infrastructure Design group in London.
In his role as leader of a group of some 400 talented designers for all forms of infrastructure, he has a special interest in the development of people at all levels and the promotion of a diverse, happy, effective, motivated workforce.

This event is hosted jointly by the Geotechnical Society and the Civil Division of Engineers Ireland.
