About the event

Jim Gannon, Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) will discuss Ireland’s progress to date against 2020 targets, and the measures that may be used to close the existing gap to achieving same. He will also focus on the various trends in energy demand, the energy market, and energy technology that will influence change; alongside a reflection on the trends in European and National policy that will provide guiding regulation and market intervention as we plan to meet our 2030 ambitions.

About the speaker

Jim Gannon Chartered Engineer - Chief Executive, SEAI
Jim is a graduate of NUIG with a Masters in Environmental Assessment from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and an MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business.

Throughout his career Jim has worked in the energy sector, delivering projects at a European, national and regional level for public and private sector organisations.  This has included projects across conventional and renewable energy, transmission and distribution infrastructure, energy demand and technology development.
