This lecture is the second in a series of four lectures by experienced professionals that will examine the regulations governing design and site requirements for safety in construction.
This lecture will examine the responsibilities placed on Designers for both permanent and temporary works, and how design risk assessments can be best implemented through the design life. It will look at the role of PSDP in ensuring construction safety and how this can be best delivered.
About the speaker
Niall O'Donovan, Chartered Engineer and Chartered Safety and Health practitioner has undertaken the PSDP role on major infrastructural projects from the redevelopment of the ESB headquarters to school bundle three. Niall has provided technical assistance to the HSA in drafting guidelines and codes of practice, including COP roofwork, COP access and working scaffolds and COP design and installation of anchors.
