About the event

The Irish Cement Plant in Limerick is Ireland’s oldest cement plant, operating on the same site since it opened in 1938. The tour will consist of a formal presentation for about 30 minutes in the training room. This will be given by Senior Mechanical and Environmental engineers. Afterwards a bus will bring the tour to the quarry where a supervisor will explain the manufacturing process. The tour will conclude with a visit of the control room and the area around the kiln.

Admission

Free however booking is essential for this event. An Ríocht will provide a bus for attendees and the pick up location for the bus is at 9.00am in Civil Defence Building, Balloonagh, Tralee. Lunch will be provided in The South Court Hotel, Raheen, Limerick
