About the event

This TU Dublin Bolton Street School of Mechanical and Design Engineering Alumni Gathering event celebrates their new university status and will share the exciting plans for the new campus at Grangegorman.

Guest speaker for the evening is Keelan Keogh from the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in the UK who will speak on “From TU Dublin to Nuclear Fusion and Remote Handling”.  Keelan will discuss how remote handling in fusion environments such as maintenance on the Joint European Tokomak (JET) is similar to space applications, where the simple act of doing up a bolt has to be carefully designed and planned using remote Robotic Systems.

This event includes a wine reception and should be booked in advance. You may bring a guest.
