About the event

Engineers Toastmasters, in association with Engineers Ireland, are hosting this free Public Speaking Made Easy course aimed at young engineering professionals who want to develop effective public speaking skills.  

The course aims to give participants a thorough understanding of the public speaking process and the skills necessary to prepare and deliver high impact speeches.

The course content will include:

  • An introduction to Public Speaking
  • Ice breakers
  • Organising your speech
  • Being earnest
  • Evaluating speakers
  • Showing what you mean
  • Vocal variety

This is a highly interactive course providing participants with the opportunity to grow and develop as speakers in a friendly, supportive environment.

Certificates of attendance will be issued to all who complete this course.

Admission

Admission is free but places are strictly limited to 16 so advance booking is required, using the link provided.  Please note, the course is currently fully subscribed but members can request a place on our wait list in the event of cancellations.

Please note that in order to be accepted on this course, participants must be current members of Engineers Ireland and be available and commit to attending on all three evenings.

(Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available for participants in Café Clyde from 6:00 PM)
